DO I HAVE INFERTILITY?
Infertility is the condition that hinders or eliminates the possibility of achieving a pregnancy. The causes can be several, as are the fertility treatment options. If you are under 35 years old and have been trying to get pregnant without success for more than a year, or over 35 years and have been trying for 6 months without getting it, it is advisable to visit a specialist.
Infertility occurs in 1 in 8 people.
It is more common than is believed, both in men and women. It is not a condition that has symptoms and, depending on different factors such as age and sex, can have different causes.
What are the causative factors?
There are many reasons why a man or woman may have fertility problems. In any case, it is important to detect the specific origin of the situation in order to determine the best fertility treatment and achieve the desired pregnancy.
OVULATORY FACTOR
The ovulatory factor is related to the proper functioning of the ovaries, hormonal stability, menstruation and the ovulation cycle of women. When there is any alteration or impediment that affects natural ovulation, it is when we diagnose the altered ovulatory factor. Among ovulatory factors, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common.
TUBAR FACTOR
The tubal factor as a fertility obstructor occurs when the fallopian tubes that carry the sperm to the ovum, have some lesion, blockage or adhesion.
- Some conditions that alter this factor.
- History of salpingoclasia
- Pelvic infections
UTERINE FACTOR
Uterine factor is diagnosed when the uterus has anatomical or functional abnormalities Some of the uterine conditions that can interfere with a woman’s fertility are:
- Endometriosis
- Adenomyosis
- Uterine adhesions
- Uterine polyps
- Fibroids
- Uterine malformations
MALE FACTOR
In men, optimal conditions occur when sperm are able to fertilize oocytes and generate embryos of good quality, which can be implanted and lead to a successful pregnancy.
